Drums and fury, and some real substantive theme writing throughout. 3 thumbs up! (I grew the third thumb after the nuclear fallout....).

Nuclear Attack! is really great. It makes me want to shoot footage that work with the music.

Thanks!

why not more? (posted by bernhard elsner) 11/27/2001 8:28:00 am
This is one of the most impressive orchestral scores I listened to on cuepop. The sound is great, the orchestration is inventive and shows much experience. As a director I probably would have difficulties using it; in fact, the film would have to be shot after the music! But as a demonstration piece it shows what composer Michele Evans is capable of: easy recognizable melodic motivs and strong harmonic and rhyhtmic build-ups.
Why doesn't Michele put her other tracks on cuepop?

Very nice piece and extremely well written. The development and the build is just right--not too much at first and not too little. Impressive.

This piece surprises me everytime I listen, its incredibly well structured and inventive, and simply powerful without resorting to easy tricks. The best kind of film action cue any serious director could hope for, it conjures up images of a Jerry Goldsmith or Elmer Bernstein furiously conducting it as part of a classic disaster flick from the golden era of such Hollywood productions. I am indeed blown away by it, and look forward to hearing more of Michele Evans' music.

Totally awesome. It's no wonder this piece is of the higest standing on the website. It rocks. Huge orchestra.
