one word sums it up: amazing! (posted by tresback eric) 7/22/2001 3:51:00 pm
This piece really gets my creative juices flowing. I was in a writers stump, trying to think of a new script to film and failing at it. Then I came here and listened to Elan Vital, and now have a new favorite composer! The music is powerful, alluring, and adventurous ! I love the ending to it! I have no doubt in my mind that Evan Evans will be one of the top composers in the film industry. Excellent work, Evans!

This piece is all Evans. When you become familiar with Evans' music you hear the obvious influences of Goldsmith and Schiffren (the later years) and of course Herrmann. This piece is Evans at his best. Evans finds his own voice in this piece. Now, I know Evan and I know that this piece was written at least 5 years ago. Evan is a young composer. I have confidence that, with time, Evans voice will become more defined and he will be one of the great contributers to early 21st century film composing. Evan, keep up the great work...I look forward very much to your output in the future!
